We try and make our services as affordable as possible. Below are a list of our standard prices for specially written songs. This is just a guide and the best way to get a proper quote based on your particular requirements is to get in touch.

Songs for Special Occasions - Simple two minute song based on your personal brief and email and phone consultation, recorded to CD quality in a studio - £300
Song writing and performance coaching - We will work with you to make sure you can do the song justice. If you can play an instrument we will help you to master the song and the music - £400
For Weddings: A personalised "First Dance" song written for your Partner, sung by yourself or presented on CD - £300
Song writing - Need coaching in writing your own songs? Per session - £10

Initial fact-finding meeting with key staff, the purpose of which will help us ascertain the following:

Exactly what do you need the song for? Examples may be: To promote the company. To advertise a specific product line. Background music for a video.
What message are you trying to get across? Target market. What audience are you aiming for? Who buys your products or uses your services? Teenagers? Home owners? Families? Older People? Other businesses?
Style of music. Easy listening? Rock? Dance? Jazz? Happy-bouncy, or serious and thought provoking. Male or female singer? The style will be dependent on your target market.
Lyrics. What key words do you want featured in the song? For example company strap line, spirit, ethics, values etc.
Length of song. A short punchy one minute jingle, with your company name ringing out repeatedly? A three minute song with intro, verse, chorus, solos, outro? Or anything in between.

Once all is agreed, Border Music will go away and compose a trial version of the song, and provide a choice of lyrics. This takes 1 week and will require a deposit of £100.

Stage 2

To arrange a second meeting, where you can hear a preview of the song, amend the words, and approve the style of music. This hearing can be presented on a CD, electronically, or an acoustic rendition, performed live on your premises, if you prefer.

When all is agreed, the client will pay a further deposit of £150, authorising Border Music to book the studio, and record the song professionally to CD standard. The production of the song will commence once the deposit is received. Depending on studio commitments, this stage may take up to 2 weeks.

To finally present you with a finished song that you can use in your marketing for years to come. The song can be presented as a electronic mp3 and on a physical CD. A seven day invoice for the balance will be issued at this point. Cost for the entire project: £500

1. Several versions of the song, re-written in different genres.

In the same way as company branding can be used on letterheads, flyers, posters, online etc, your own personalised song can also be re-recorded to make it appropriate for any event you choose. Just some examples:

Exhibitions, shows, event stands, conferences, displays
on telephone hold, your website, facebook page, youtube channel
in reception, as quiet background music without the words
a playful version of the same song for children
an inspiring football chant anthem for company sporting events

Again, depending on studio commitments, this may take another 2 weeks.

The consistent theme throughout all this marketing, is your personal signature tune and company name being heard in many settings, sticking in your customers' minds, differentiating you from your competitors.

Another bonus of the Premium Service:

2. A chance to be involved in your own personal song.

You can be part of your company song by either singing on it or playing an instrument. We can take you into the studio and record you or your staff singing or playing, making the song more Real.

This could have the added benefit of improving relationships amongst staff, increasing team work, morale and well-being in your organisation.

The staff may even be involved in the song development and lyrics.

To pay Border Music a £300 deposit, authorising us to spend several days in the recording studio meeting your requirements. This will again be deducted from the final invoice.

Cost for the entire project: £700 up to £1,000.
